It was a magic room for me due to the smells, the colors and the warmth of this space made me want to constantly explore, opening the jars as if discovering the world.
When grandpa died, we brought grandma to live with us. The house where they had lived in the upper neighborhood of the village was deserted. The gate, which had always been open to anyone who came, was closed with a chain. The yard that had once been full of beautiful flowers and basil had sprouted weeds and the grape vine that had protected us with its shade and ...
My friend Manolis Kassakis once told me, "You are the casserole queen" and he was right. After this conversation I realized that indeed I do like the casserole. I like to hear the crunch of the onion, I like to sit on top of the pot and patiently stir. I like to work with it all the time and gradually add the ingredients. It's the time you spend on everything to make it special.
